The bottom line, Dr. Gilmore is the real deal! After 26 years in the Marine Corps, I am now able to walk again without pain. Specifically, Dr. Gilmore repaired three tendons and removed a bone spur and in less than six weeks I am walking without pain! Of note, two weeks after surgery, I fell and tore open my surgical incision. After reaching out to Dr. Gilmore‘s office, he called me at home on a SUNDAY and asked me to come to the office that day to ensure I did not damage the tendon. Again, he is a true professional who reflects those values of expertise while keeping the patient’s needs first. With poor judgment and haste, I went to another podiatrist closer to my home last week and was very disappointed with the prognosis of foot surgery. Dr. Leland Gilmore is a very professional and experienced doctor with a great bedside manner. His staff is extremely nice as well. They are a reflection of him so every visit is a positive one. I have been a patient of Dr. Leland Gilmore at Capital Podiatry for more than 5 years. He has treated me for everything from plantar fasciitis (my original issue) to foot surgery this past November. He is the best. Period. Dr. Gilmore is a local, having lived in the Ft. Hunt area of Alexandria all of his life. He contributes to the community and truly cares about it. I think this is why people often seek him out. His goal? To have you pain-free as soon as necessary. He is current on many advancements in the field of podiatry, including laser treatments to help alleviate swelling and pain. The Doctors and Staff at Capitol Podiatry at the Hinson Farm address are, not only professional and knowledgeable but treats a patient as a person giving all attention needed and not rushing the time spent with the patient listing to all concerns. The patient leaves the office well informed on necessary treatment and what results to expect. You will never be disappointed with the care provided or the interaction with the staff. I was going to another Podiatrist that I was pleased with, but after receiving care from Dr. Gilmore, Dr. Panchigar and staff I have decided to remain with Dr. Gilmore. Dr. Gilmore earns 5 stars because of his caring and personal approach to foot care, coupled with his great team. My feet were not in good shape when I started seeing him a couple of years ago (after a few months seeing another specialist with no results) but he put me on a path to getting all my issues cleared up. After a few months of his care I could again walk, run and even play tennis again without pain. I wish I had started seeing him immediately after my injury, but I’m glad to be back to normal activities. Thanks Dr. Gilmore!
